Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University is the best choice what I have done in my life!

This is the place where you have been noticed, a place where you become a better person, a place that seemed to be far away at first, and then it becomes even the most familiar. No matter where I will study, which university name should be added to my biography, whenever a question is asked to me  I will answer with great pride , warmth and love that I studied in Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University  on the Faculty of Social Sciences!

Visit of the Church Hierarch Seraphime to the University

3 May 2012

On the 3rd of May 2012 the students of the Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University hosted the Metropolitan of Borjomi and Bakuriani Eparchy, the Archbishop Seraphime.

On that day, the University was fully immersed in God’s blessing and special respect to Lord.

The conference hall of the University was full of students. There were many of those, willing to see the clergyman in person, whose amazing pitch of voice, interesting past life and specific manner of telling added special mysticism to this meeting.

The Archbishop Seraphime talked about the foundation of Borjomi-Bakuriani Eparchy, about the life of ecclesiastics – Grigol Khandzteli and his disciples – Christephore and Theodore, their occupations, about the sacred places and miracles taking place in the Potoleti Fathers’ Monastery and other churches within this eparchy, which it is famous for.

He also told the students about his childhood, spent in Sukhumi, his student years, fellowship and how the decision to move from secular life to ecclesiastic has been made.

There were many interesting questions asked by the students.

The Church Hierarch Seraphime answered the students’ questions and blessed the audience at the end of this meeting with the following words: “Every human being needs to make faith stronger. Our love towards God must be just, as Saint Seraphime Sarovski preached; He is the Saint, who protects Georgia”.
