Guram Tavartkilade Teaching University – The place, where I grew up as a professional and developed as an independent person. This is the university, where I felt myself home right from the start. Amicability of academic staff, rectors and each of the personnel towards students, well-furnished infrastructure, high quality education focused on practical training, lectures and sessions, workshops held in terms of international programs - all these make the Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University valuable and competitive all over Georgia.  

I am happy to have been an excellent bachelor student of this university and a scholarship winner of Guram Tavartkiladze’s scholarship for four years. I was even assisted for my first employment by the university. At present, I am proud and glad to continue my master’s degree at the GTTU.

The Meeting on the University Library Support Issues

15 November 2012

On November 15, 2012, GTTU hosted the foreign visitors: John Kristiansen (USA), Monica Ortale (USA) and Andreas Knobelsdorf (Hamburg University, Germany).

The guests were welcomed by Rector of the University, Dr. Giorgi Matiashvili. They discussed the purpose of the business visit and their future plans.

The Rector of the university told them about the university, HE programs carried out, styles and methods applied there. They also discussed the university plans for future development.

The purpose of the business visit was to support the library with Law books. The guests as well as the hosts highlighted the issues that would support the further development of university library performance.

The parties of the meeting discussed such principal issues as library database, book resources, technical facilities, trainings, sharing the experience of leading HEI in library management and etc.

After the meeting, the guests saw the materials technical base of the university, building and teaching labs.
