Students’ championship in mini soccer

Students’ championship in mini soccer among the higher educational institutions of Georgia is held by support of JSC “Georgian Steel”.

The goal of the tournament is to develop and promote students football; to bring up healthy generation and discover talented football players.

The tournament participants are from ten different universities football teams and are divided into two groups. Two teams from each group go to semifinal and so they will compete each other for the first place. Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University football team is in the “B” group. Its competitors are: the football teams from Caucasus University, Grigol Robakhidze University, Georgian Technical University and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The first match was held on May 2, 2011 and the score was 2:4 Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University vs. Georgian Technical University. The second match was successful for GTTU football team that ended with the score 2:1 GTTU vs. Caucasus University. The semi final matches will be held on May 29, 2011.
