Guram Tavartkilade Teaching University – The place, where I grew up as a professional and developed as an independent person. This is the university, where I felt myself home right from the start. Amicability of academic staff, rectors and each of the personnel towards students, well-furnished infrastructure, high quality education focused on practical training, lectures and sessions, workshops held in terms of international programs - all these make the Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University valuable and competitive all over Georgia.

I am happy to have been an excellent bachelor student of this university and a scholarship winner of Guram Tavartkiladze’s scholarship for four years. I was even assisted for my first employment by the university. At present, I am proud and glad to continue my master’s degree at the GTTU.

Book presentation held at the University

4 May 2012

In May 4, 2012 the presentation of the book by the Doctor of Law Sciences Givi Lobzhanidze “Introduction to Law” has been held at the Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University.

This book has been based on systematic method, targeted for the students of the legal and none-legal faculty. It discusses the leading fields of Georgian law system and the directions such as Georgian state and history of law, political law, methods of law, municipal law, the problems of the human rights law, criminal, civil, administrative, labour, election law issues, as well as the points of corporation law; it also characterizes law-enforcement authorities. “The necessity of publishing this book has been caused by the reforms, held in the country, as well as the serious changes, introduced in the legislation system and the practical training performed with the students. This manual can be conditionally divided into two parts: first part is the historic – theoretical part; while the second part is sectoral. Im my opinion, the greater essence should be attached to method of providing the future engineers, economists, historians, art experts and journalists with material, which is an extremely important for lawyers. Therefore, I have found it essential to draw my attention to discussing the problems of general education of the law to future generation in the field of the law” – Says Mr. Givi Lobzhanidze.

The editor in chief is the Professor Mr. Roman Shengelia; reviewers: Professors Shengeli Pitskhelauri, Jemal Gakhokidze, Jamlet Bibilashvili and Tamar Vepkhvadze.

Finally, the most important is that the manual will duly guide those who are interested in the issues stated above.
