Workshop: Autism Spectrum Disorder and the Current Situation in Georgia

Today, on January 16, 2020, a workshop of the practitioner, behavioral therapist (supervisor) Mako Gagnidze, under the titled "Autism Spectrum Disorder and the Modern Situation in Georgia" was held for Guram Tavartkiladze Tbilisi Teaching University Psychology students;

Such topics were discussed at the workshop as:

• Risk Factors, Statistics and Diagnostic Criteria;

Autism spectrum disorder, multidisciplinary team composition, competence and function, diagnostic evaluation;

Characteristics of the development of children with autism spectrum disorder;
Prenatal development;
• “Red Flags”;

• Autism Spectrum Disorder and Current Situation in Georgia (Diagnosis, Rehabilitation, Kindergarten, School, University);
ABA Therapy;

• Discussion of practical work / cases.


The meeting with the students took place in an interesting and interactive format.
