Minister of Corrections met with students

Students’ meetings are continuing with employers in Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University, with the heads of partner institutions, recognized representatives of justice system.

Under this project, in this current year in April 18th the Ministry of Corrections of Georgia Kakha Kakhishvili met with the students in the assembly hall of the University.

The aim of the meeting was the introduction of the ongoing reforms in Penitentiary System, legislative news, the specificity of corrections and probation organs’ work, the planning of the future cooperation between the Ministry of Corrections and the University, Which, undoubtedly, contributes to the Bachelors and Masters Students’ intellectual, creative and professional capacity realization, the improvement of higher legal education quality. Students’ professional preparation, the strengthen of theoretical knowledge with practical skills gained in the learning process, the formation of specialized competencies the training of qualified personnel for the labor market.

Minister of Corrections of Georgia, Mr. Kakhi Kakhishvili acquainted with the university infrastructure, material and technical base, visited the mock courtroom equipped with modern technique facilities and forensic laboratory.

It should be noted that within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University actively cooperates with the Ministry of Justice, Supreme Court of Georgia, Tbilisi Court of Appeals, Tbilisi and Rustavi City Court, Notary Chamber of Georgia, the Central Election Commission, Legal Assistance Service, Non-Governmental organizations, the private Law companies, Where the Bachelors and Masters students annually undergo professional practice.

A memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University and the Ministry of Corrections of Georgia.
