Future military journalists on the Training Ground

In 2016 April 11, GTTU Journalism Faculty "Extreme Journalism” third year students with their supervisor Irakli Aladashvili visited the Ministry of Defense Vaziani military aerodrome, where they attended the 12th battalion of the "Alpha hundred tactical training in “platoon attack."

In GTTU Journalism Faculty, in "Extreme Journalism" workshop students are already being trained for the fourth years in military journalism, as well as in extremely conditions (Natural disasters, man-made disasters) by journalists’ to fulfill their professional duties. The combination of theory and practical knowledge is an integral part of implemented teaching methods in the University.

That is why it is very important; that the future military journalists should know not only in theory but in practice too, they should know how to cover the current events of the combat zone and at the same time to protect the personal safety rules.

The Ministry of Defense provided a complete assistance to the students to study the works of Georgian military arms, military equipment, closely to keep an eye on the progress of the training and most importantly, thoroughly talk to the soldiers and officers.

The visit of the future journalists on the training ground ended with solder dinner.
