Public lecture on actual topic

Today, Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia Gocha Lortkipanidze and the head of the Department of State Representation in the Courts of Georgia Beka Dzamashvili delivered a public lecture at Guram Tavartkiladzer Teaching University.

The subject of the lecture was "International Criminal Court and Contemporary Challenges in the Context of the 2008 Russia-Georgia War".

In the framework of the lecture there were discussed such important issues as the essence of the International Criminal Court and the difference from other international courts; Principles of conducting investigation by the Prosecutor's Office, Estimated dates and results of the ongoing investigation of the 2008 war.

After the end of the public lecture the guests answered the students’ questions.

Gocha Lortkipanidze and Beka Dzamashvili visited the University's material-technical base, training laboratories and Mock court hall.

He pointed out that he has not seen such kind of students’ involvement and activity in any universities.
